Annelies Štrba has been taking photographs daily since she was fifteen years old, tirelessly capturing transitory, everyday moments. She became known for her fairytale-like, hazy black-and-white shots, especially those of her three children. Later, when her children had grown up, she also used the public sphere as her subject matter. During a trip to Japan, she produced colour photographs expressing abandonment and distance.
