Gloss paint on aluminium100 x 100 cm
A century after Ferdinand Hodler’s invention of Parallelism and with all the developments of modernism, abstraction and conceptual art, Fischer has fostered his very own take on the tradition. He extracts the colours across existing paintings with the help of digital manipulation and stretches them into a vertical, parallel barcode. He then uses liquid gloss paint to create his abstract drip paintings, using the title of the original work as a reference point to the source of inspiration.
